Social Compliance Audits
A social compliance audit is an independent inspection of a workplace to verify that workers are treated fairly, safely, and ethically. It’s how you demonstrate that your supply chain operates with integrity, not just claim that it does.
You might hear these called social or ethical audits, labour standards audits, factory inspections, SMETA audits, or SA8000 audits. The terminology varies. The mission doesn’t: verify that workers are treated with dignity and respect.
